This hook does everything that is claimed it can do. I have flipped full sheets of 3/4" ply wood and lifted rocks larger than I should have. Carrying only one implement that can do the work of both hook and a stump ripper is great on long hikes where a minimum of gear is preferred, but also when working through heavy vegetation or climbing when keeping one hand free is a necessity. In just one season I scraped this hook up and down 8 mountains, sometimes using it as a walking stick, and now it is coming with me to Florida where I hope to work with some Eastern Diamondbacks. I'd like to say I plan on buying another, but unless I lose or run this one over I won't have a reason to.
